It has less soul than Colosseum and it's a lot less challenging, but it's hard to beat the longer campaign and the much, much better selection of shadow Pokemon that you can use.

I struggle to make a 3x3
Perhaps it's autism on my part, but I cannot fathom picking the top 9 games of my life by objectively comparing them to one another
It feels like people shortcut that process by choosing the entries based on genre variety and aesthetic distinction
Then the game becomes less about what you think your 9 favourite games are, and more about what you wish to present yourself as to other people
This does make it way easier to pick the games but feels completely pointless as a representation of your tastes
So instead I spend weeks pondering what would go in the truest representation of my 3x3, before giving up entirely

Good thing I don't play the game for the hub lol
>No lyrics in red orca songs
why the fuck should I care? The instrumentals are great and I can listen to them on their own.
>"I killed the boss before the battle... AGAIN!!! xD"
NMH1 does fake outs too lmao. Also, do you really care about noncharacters like Vanishing Point and Sniping Lee over getting closure for Kimmy and more Destroyman stuff?
>No Stages
Yeah but it has the most engaging combat in the series.
>Worst Henry
I quite like that Henry has become a parody of NMH2-esque mischaracterization of Travis, to the point of having two swords instead of one.
>"Uh.. didn't you play the other sudaverse gaems?"
Yeah, getting closure for Kamui Uehara actually does in fact cement the themes of NMH and KTP as a whole. Travis is the only character in that whole world who is able to push past the corruption and evil that poisons it.
>Classic UE fucking up the art direction 1 and 2 had, jell-o water and plastic textures included
I can agree with this.
>No other playable characters and VERY FEW customization opstions other than the shirts
I don't really care about other playable characters when it has some of the most engaging combat in an action game.
Also, you are ignoring the chips, which means NMH3 actually has the most customization and also the most depth. They focused on gameplay instead of retarded hub shit. Obviously the game is underbaked, but that's never been a problem when people praise Killer7.

Anyone can list 100 games they like, but a 3x3 is meant to distill your taste into the core, and allow the viewer to infer the rest. I can probably assume you like Quake if you like Doom. X2 if you like 9, etc. We're not looking for a list of every game you think is great.

You were not playing well if you were mashing. I've beaten the game on the hardest difficulty twice over and the only way you end up mashing is if you don't use the glove abilities to their fullest. Either that or you are just old

my glove abilities were constantly on cooldown because i was using them so much. you do eventually upgrade your damage enough for it to be bearable until late-game when you get HP buffed reskins

You said someone could "infer" what I like from the chart, but mega man classic and X are functionally different series. I have hundreds of hours in 2, 3, 9, X1, and X2, I enjoy playing them and getting better at them, but, for example, I think X4 is an awful game, and to expand on this further, I think Zero is a terrible series with really bad level design and bosses recycled from some of the worst X games. Additionally, I think if you listed 100 games you like it'd quickly become apparent that most of them were shit.

The glove abilities trivialize the bosses. You can lock them down so they can't even fight back.

Its actually a lot more nuanced than that, even the way the charge shot works and how X is more designed around clearing waves of enemies with the charge shot is a huge difference in gameplay. (and it has lot more tech in general versus mega man classic just being a precision platformer) The playstyles of the two series don't really converge until Mega Man 11 which is the best of both worlds with not quite perfect execution, but the IP is dead now so we'll never see where that goes.

I can at least agree with you on 11, which is my second favorite in the series. I think the fundamental feeling of being weak at the start, improving through the use of your own two hands, and becoming unstoppable is a universal feeling across the two series though. Your raw skill in Platforming and Shooting can definitely make you feel strong at the beginning, but it's the circumstantial uses of your abilities and the knowledge checks of where to use them (beyond just the boss fights) that make the two series cohesive in design to me. Obviously X has a more robust world and requires more exploration, but the fundamental rewards are the same.
