i gave it like 3 tries and said "i will play tomorrow" and never did

They did but should specify they beat it on easy. That's what these kinds of mechanics are - proxies for difficulty selects that you can toggle on and off by swapping in and out of their use. FROM games are generally considered hard so they have to include shit like this to ensure sales to average and low skill gamers because they know the day they put in a real difficulty select a la Lies of P is the day they piss off their autistic core.

I loved it the first time, easily an experience similiar to the first playthrough of Dark Souls 1. SotE and subsequent replay ruined it for me and now I rate it as the worst souls game after DS2.
True, but I also didn't want to play the game that doesn't include these, so I don't mind.
Though I don't care about the dragon vomit spells or specific weapon arts. I do care about blood magic and spells though.
I would have used them even if they were garbage. They just so happen to be overpowered as fuck.
I play for the thematic and the design of the character I want to make. Which is why I also slogged through an entire playthrough of INT-based miracles. Those rings are cool.

Turns out that elden ring is an easy game full of busted builds, weapons and items and all of the "you didn't beat the game" posts are either trolling or redditor nerds that probably never had sex and were bullied in school and now find their worth in being good in souls games and knowing a lot about their lore. Unga bunga STR works better on trash mobs, but fails against enemies with superarmor. Meanwhile, bleed only scales better, the tougher the opponent.
