Specifically the furshit element. I would play a game that featured anthros in it, but that trademark cartoonish fur slop character design makes it unappealing. Its just not a serious design. Its too cute. I don't know I just couldn't take it seriously in a shooter of all genres.

There's always Into the Radius and Tunguska the Visitation. But when Project Silverfish got as close as it did to STALKER. I'd say it's probably the best there is right now. Nothing really compares, even as close as those others come in some ways.

The Path into The Abyss made be one to put on your radar. The only other games I know about but look far too distant in my opinion is games like Forest Reigns or Atom Fall.

Thats a good question. Now if I am playing any TES game or Total warhammer I don't perceive the anthros as furries. Neither of those games are particularly cute. Skaven are actually pretty goofy and despite that they don't give off furry vibes. They talk goofy and are often times cartoonishly stupid, but not cute. I think thats all it really boils down to. Even when the sexual aspect of the furry style is absent you can still pick up on the cute and fluffy aspect and identify it as furry. Skaven, Argonians, lizardmen, and Khajiits all look like they could actually exist in the setting and not like they stumbled out of a Disney movie.
