People love to use yasuke as a scapegoat to conveniently forget that at the end of the day this is an Assassins Creed game and Assassins Creed games have been utter and unapologetically shit since Unity. Even if you took out yasuke, this game would still be a 4/10 at best. Hell if anything yasuke at least got people talking about this game. Nobody gives a shit about Odyssey or Origins anymore but I promise you people will keep talking about this game. Moral of the story: if your game is shit, slap a nigger on it. Thank god for steam providing at least some clarity. Cross reference it with something like expedition 33, AC shadows didn't even get half of the peak e33 got. So you can easily assume half the sales.
So AC probably sold around 1.5-2mil copies. The rest of the players probably comes from free copies, or free access trough subscription services intended to inflate the numbers for stock holders, since AAA games are literally investments that need to have a positive ROI in stock value.
