How did get BF6 get so popular? It's better than their last two disastrous titles, BFV and BF 2042, but in comparison to older titles, it's just average.

They finally got it right, first time since BF4. And people love Battlefield, and they got Battlefield. I think it's not that strange or difficult concept to grasp.

It's significantly better than any Battlefield game that came before it. Going back to BF4 while waiting for the release is painful, the game feels so boring and stale in comparison.

BF6 is a step in the right direction. It is better than any Call of Duty and all Battlefield games.

Just remembered, I can't even play BF4 because I am banned from a few servers because of using the chat. Counting 3 permanent bans simply for using the chat function. Last one was because I said "BF6 is better than this" => instantly perma banned without any warning or explanation in a server that advertises "no rules, no bullshit"

I reiterate: doing away with the dated concept of servers and the teenage reddit/discord culture surrounding them isa step in the right direction.

BF6 is just Dice trying to desperately make a modern day BF3/BF4.
2042 was such dogshit that the bare mininum of an old BF game will have fans sucking off the devs.
Also the beta was mediocre. The dragging mechanic is cool but weapons need to be class locked by default, and jesus fucking christ the maps are fucking dogshit.

If only, I almost exclusively played hardcore in 3 and 4 because all of the weapons become viable instead of having meta weapons, you can definitely get kills with all the guns in 2024, but there are still some that stand above the rest.
I also hate vehicles having a third person camera as well as hating minimaps but that's not relevant to your point.

don't agree, i've never gotten bored of a BF as fast as I did during the two betas, there was literally nothing interesting going on, just endless firefights that all felt the same.

Apparently EA needs this to succeed massively or they'll die. And as fun as the beta was I'd much rather see EA die. Sorry BF bros.

server browsers exists for custom games and one of the custom games you can set up is the vanilla experience so the handful of people who want to power trip with admin rights can go play in their sever browser experience with bots.

The rest of us can select the map / modes and queue into a game. no queue to join, no scrolling through listings by ping to find a not dead server, no worry over fake player counts, no getting kicked to let an admins friend on, no getting kicked because you were shooting down the jetfag admin, no bans on weapons / equipment people "don't like", no MOTD with ads
