the uncanny valley effect is ruining so many characters in this era. You have developers that can design realistic faces and you have characters that fall into the trap of the uncanny valley.
in this sense 7th gen really was superior because we hadn't gotten good enough at rendering faces, which meant they looked like part of a game as opposed to some in-between thing

I'm not hype but I am thinking of picking it up after reviews and gameplay drops, I like the aesthetic of it all, but I'm apprehensive after seeing a teaser of what the combat is going to be.

>hit-stop on every hit (enemies don't actually react to being hit)

>no guns, only melee weapons
>weapon durability (you can only carry 3 weapons)
>at 0 sanity inability to move
