what do you think about them? any favorites?

I like Mario 3mix and Mario Eclipse. Eclipse has some weird custom staged in the endgame but it's worth playing just for the expanded moveset, and the new "main" levels I thought were great. Adding over world interconnectivity was also super cool to play around with; it adds a lot of world cohesion. I will probably never play Vanilla Sunshine again

Romhacks and other kind of fanmade slop are made by untalented and frustrated "developers" that need to steal somene else ip's with a "love letter" or "tribute" excuse to get noticed because if they put their indieslop on steam they will be automatically labeled as worthless shovelware and buried with the rest of worthless shovelware

I liked X Fusion. That last section was trial and error bs though and I wish he had implemented a final boss but I get that the rom had size limitations so I forgive it.

I'm mostly indifferent to them, compared to like... doom wads or source ports they are kind of bad. Maybe recompiles will change that with some time. I enjoyed the sm64 co-op stuff, at least.

I really liked it. It became a slog at the end collecting all the mumbo tokens for 100%, but the rest I absolutely loved. The Pokemon Snap level was great.

Don Camilo hacks are pure kino
The mario64 hack that puts you in the OOT map was great
