This was some canned prototype of a Steam home console that Valve decided not to make. My guess is that it either had something to do with the Steam Machines failure or because Valve saw where the home console market was going. This guy got a hold of one of those prototypes, couldn't get SteamOS working on it, and just shoved Windows 11 Pro on it. We're just getting Deckard, Roy, Ibex, Steam Deck 2, and Half-Life 3. Fremont is dead, even Valve said this.

The home console market is dead, Microsoft was the last one able to enter, Valve couldn't enter it, Google couldn't enter it, Netflix, Amazon, and Apple all couldn't even get in the front door, Nintendo gave up on it and made a handheld that can be docked. Valve gained success in the PC handheld space. PlayStation and Xbox were dying very slowly and now is pretty much dead with the whole multiplatform push. Home console market has no future. PlayStation and Xbox killed the market when they killed Sega and forced Nintendo to stop going head to head with them.
