Except the issue isnt just about losing its about winning too. So many matches are either stomp victories or stomp losses which are both boring

people would seriously rather play 500 hours of a game where you lose genuinely through no fault of your own because one of the people you were randomly teamed with is playing suboptimally and the game is designed so 1 person can't carry the game then just learn how to do fighting game inputs and all your losses being because of you instead of random matchmaking.

both of those happen in rivals as well, the only difference is that rivals doesn't even try to balance the game and just lets people ban their bad matchups as the devs constantly tweak damage numbers by 5% every few weeks
