Yandere Simulator
What went wrong and what would /v/ have done differently?

Remove everyone except the crazy yandere and make it survival horror sim instead

The ultimate problem was how he kept autistically adding unfinished new features instead of polishing and finalizing the base features. His ambition was too big

That's not ambition, that's being a fraudulent retard that can't finish what he started and focus on one single feature at a time, he prefers to half-ass a bunch of them

The fact that he finished THE DLC years before he’ll ever finish the main game is a testament to how the retard basically developed the game backwards

A hitman style game would never work because in the Hitman games, you go to new locations every time, here you're returning to the crime scene every day for 10 weeks. If an actual murder occurred at a school, police would be there every day until the investigation was concluded.

What I would do is
>make it a visual novel
>the set up is you have killed a single student in the prologue
>the rest of the game is a cat and mouse game between you and the police as you try to avoid arrest for that one murder, think of season 2 of dexter
>all the while having to stay close to your Senpai and make him fall in love with you
>no other murders will happen in the game
>multiple endings

It would take a talented writer, something I'm not sure Chalex could do.

Or, you fully embrace the hamminess and "simulator" part of the title, and make the game as unserious and retarded as possible, which is what the game was originally before Chalex decided it needed to be this deep, thought provoking work of art.

Just change the scope to stalking senpai around the town.

I tried it for the first time a week or two ago. It felt really rigid. The guy clearly put a lot of work into the mechanisms and shit in the game, but something about it didn't feel fun. There was almost too much shit. Also, wayyyyy too many NPCs.

I also feel the premise would have been much more appealing if you were the guy being pursued by the yandere. I'm desperate for something like Saiko no Sutoka.

i feel like a combination between persona and hitman just couldn't work

(fyi thats apperently the genre he's going for)
