Yep, nothing like a good old fashioned party based RPG. What's your class /v/?

Wizard or Berserker. Everything else is just worse version of either of those or gay.

I usually make a thief/assassin protag in BG. But also I've played BG so many times at this point that I almost always use custom parties so I just build a bit of everything

Paladin is my go-to. Maybe Monk if the vibe is right and it isn't mechanically just a dumb naked Fighter.

I don't like games where you pick a class I much prefer the system from Morrowind where you can pick one but you can also just pick skills your chatacter would use.

Btw i hate all those baldurs game type games like original fallouts or neverending nights or icewind dale. I could never immerse myself into them i prefer 3D one protagonist

I like fantasy rangers thematically but not mechanically for DnD

Monks were supposed to be medieval Europe monks.

No, those were friars. They are distinct from monks.

>Religious ascetics who practice pugilism
They are in no meaningful way different from Monks as presented in D&D.

Ranger or Barbarian are my 2 favorite archetypes in games. Sometimes Sorcerer.

Morrowind (or Oblivion) style is kinda cool, but it really limits replayability since your character can literally do anything and everything. Picking a class and being limited is fun in it's own way.

>don't pick wizard
>miss out on 90% of the game mechanics
>nothing to besides autoattack
d&d is garbage

I usually pick Druid when going in blind. Druids are NEVER well-balanced, though. They're either complete trash, overpowered as fuck, or complete trash except for one memebuild which is overpowered as fuck
