When I was a kid, I was kleptomaniac. It's not like I wanted to steal, more like the 5 year old me didn't understand ownership so I just took stuff from places I went to. My mom always forced me to go back, return the items and say I'm sorry.
I remember that I was at my best friends' place and I took a gameboy advance cartridge home. I didn't know but like a week afterwards my friend's family had to move out because his parents' business failed so they got no money. So I could never return the cartridge.
I've always felt remorse about that. But like 7 or 8 years later, I went to my friend's place in a different state and hacked his Wii with the Twilight Princess method and taught him how to pirate games. A few years later he thanked me for that because his little brothers could play all the games they wanted during a time were they were dirt poor.

I took a copy of F-Zero X in a protective case to the homewares section of the store and tried to bash it open with a hammer with a bathmat over the top of it. It didn’t work! I left it under the shelves and years later I checked and it was still under there.

I stole my cousin's copy of Budokai 3 as a kid because he wouldn't let me have a turn while he played Viewtiful Joe 2.

I accidentally stole a game, but I mean it was more of a case of borrowing super mario galaxy 2 for months and then when I asked if they wanted it back he said no. one of my friends in college borrowed a game from me and lost it, so I guess karma made it even.

I had this game stolen from my room, which I suspect was done by a friend of my oldest brother when he invited people over.
I loved this game, so it really sucked.

Yeah PS1, DC, GC, PS2, XBOX, 360, PS3. I would just goto EB games and open all the cases on the shelf and take the ones that still had the discs inside. It was always easy to steal because they weren't expecting anyone to steal an empty case, lol. You'd be surprised by how many of them still had the discs inside.

I once stole a genesis game box, took it to the public washroom, took a dump in it, closed up the box, and put it back on the shelf. Technically it wasn't theft because the game box never left the store. If anything I just gave a customer more bang for their buck.
