I wish every story would drop the "This is how it ends" schtick at the start. I've grown extremely tired of it and it ultimately takes away from the experience. Imagine how much harder the ending would have hit if we never saw the destroyed landscape and helmet at the start.

Don't even get me started on the fucking books. Halo is video games first. VIDEO GAMES FIRST. Or at least it should be. For a long time now, everything happens in the god damn books. I wouldn't have an issue with this if they would, at the very least, turn those books into video games. It doesn't have to the standard halo game. It could be a ton of different genres. The point is that Halo is a video game franchise. Majority of the fanbase don't bother with books. Why is everything happening in books and then when the next game comes out, it expects you to know what happened in the fucking books. I TOLD YOU NOT TO GET ME STARTED.

Worst and ugliest Halo game. I will never in my life understand how this game gets shilled as 'quality.' Not just because of the additoon of sprint, but because of how visually disgusting it is. The muddled gray graphics and fucking bloom. I cant see what's going on most of the time. Such a horrible regression from the main trilogy, in both visuals and gameplay. This game was the end of an era and the Halo series simply never recovered. This is my truly unfiltered opinion and if you disagree with me I'm telling you that I am objectively right and you are objectively wrong.

The Plasma Repeater was actually good in the beta, and then they made it the worst weapon in the game at launch.
I really hated how bungo treated the weapon sandbox in their games.

It's visually... fine, vastly upgraded faces and more detailed models, but because of the tone things are muted and the grain filter made it less enjoyable to look at.

But in terms of multiplayer it was easily the worst of Bungie's games and there is no reconciling that. So much gray Forge shit in matchmaking, fewer stock maps and they rehashed maps from campaign. Gameplay was fucking awful.

Campaign is still solid though, but Reach as a whole can eat my ass.

I despised forge in reach so much, I have no idea what the fuck they were thinking by making all of the assets gray slabs. It was a huge huge downgrade from sandbox visually. There was a reason why H3 still had an active forge scene years after reach released.

do people still play it? i only fucked with halo 2 multiplayer and always wanted to try reach cuz that's what everyone always remembered, but i never got a 360 i was a ps3 nigga.

Still mad that they buffed armor lock, nerfed every armor ability, and added reticule bloom after the beta.
I don't think I would have hated the game as much had I not played the shit out of the beta.
Halo 3 is the only good one. H1 is a party game and H2 is a broken mess.
