I think it'll go the way of most fighting games. Lot of people at launch and gradually whittle downed to just a little over 10k playing months later. Fighting games just don't retain players for that long.

Nothing really. It'll make a variety of irrelevant camps upset like the people that relentlessly seethe about arcsys after strive happened, succeeded and didn't die, the people who are mad it's a tag fighter(even though they literally made it so you can only have to use 1 character if you choose), the people who hate that it isn't a carbon copy of mvc, and the people that hate the full Japanese anime designs and want comic shit even though being as far away from it like Sony/marvel asked is the best thing about it. But it'll do fine.
