For me it was my parents getting Mario Kart 8 for me the day I turned 8 years old which made me think Nintendo made it for my birthday. I played that game throughout my childhood.

skeletons also didn't used to have perfect aim. you could run up to one and kill it just by punching it if you could maneuver well. skeletons now can easily kill you if you aren't prepared when you run in to one because they will never miss you.

speaking of nostalgia...
Minecraft doesn't hold any nostalgia for me, though the music does have that vibe. I played it when I was young, I remember building this shit cobblestone house with an incredibly ugly bridge that didn't even need to be built, with it being like 2 blocks in front of the door. I went mining and couldn't find my way out, so dug up, and I couldn't find my house anywhere. I made a huge cobblestone pillar to make a hole in the middle, so when I jumped, all my loot would be "safe". I think I made a map, and saw where I was, and seen I was half way across the map and that the ocean I was looking for which was right behind my boss could barely be considered a pond. I quit that save.

I could build that exact house and bridge too despite 15 years ago

1,CoM, 2, & BBS are millennial games
Days, Coded, & DDD are zoomer games
The PSP was the "weird kid" handheld and so BBS was mainly picked up by the relatively older Millennials who actually bought the system.

yeah same. i honestly dont really care for the zone that much. HF is the one i have the most nostalgia for as i was a horde player and am scandinavian, so it reminds me of home. i also really liked the vibe and aesthetic of zul'drak as a sort of parallell to the serenity and beauty of places like howling fjord (+ i am a trollfag)

That's exactly why it was called Cool Math Games, so schools wouldn't ban it.
You also just reminded me that I did some fucky shit in highschool to make my student account an admin, so any computer I'd use would save anything that wasn't just microsoft exel word docs.
I had a pretty rad rimworld colony going on there.

25-30 years ago, people didn't just abandon consoles the moment a new generation came out.
