as always, with everything, the best answer is modded Skyrim because developers don't fucking know what we want so we have to do it ourselves.
there's also a lich mod for Divinity Original Sin 2 that's alright but kind of OP.
Neverwinter Nights has a mod, the PRC, that adds tons of shit from tabletop and you can be a lich, there, too.
additionally you can be one in Elin, the sequel to popular freeware game Elona, and they're good mages.

HoMM3 but I've never played it competitively so might suck against good players. It's very effective when playing hotseat against your equally shit friend though

i understand. if it's any consolation, though, basically ALL of those premade modlists are pure slop. putting one together personally is always best, but at this point there is so much good shit to install that it takes forever and gets pretty autistic unless you stick to the essentials and are ok with your setup being mogged by randoms'.

if you like RTS, Heroes of Annihilated Empires is currently on sale for $2. i don't think the lich has a campaign but you can play him vs people or AI.
