The future of gaming is the Switch 2 and Steam Deck 2. The Steam home console is nice and all, but I don't believe it'll do better than the Deck 2, and while it'll most likely outsell the next Xbox and PS6 because of lower price, I honestly don't think set-top boxes have a future. Why should I care about a Steam home console when I can just dock my Steam Deck 2 under my TV and play my game with the Ibex controller.

I kind of hope they do that, just shove the Steam home console into the Steam Deck 2. Use what data you get from the Fremont prototype to instead make a dock similar to the Switch 2 that acts like a boost to the Steam Deck 2 for TVs, desktops, and laptops.

Continuing from this >>718830937, Fremont is sounding a lot like the rumors of the original Steam Machines. Valve made prototypes in-house and then sent them to third parties as reference devices for OEM Steam Machines. Fremont is not for us as stated by Valve which explains the crazy specs. I believe the final Fremont will be Steam Machines made by third parties again using SteamOS. I mean that's cool and all but I'm not interested in OEMs, whether they have the Steam logo on them or have the Xbox logo on them. Given that I just cracked the code on the overhyped Fremont, I'm more interested in the in-house Steam Deck 2. The mainstream release for the home console or should I say consoles are making a lot more sense now because they're OEMs while the Steam Deck 2 will continue to be sold in the Steam Store when it launches.

It's not gonna stop at this price, 2026 May is when shit is gonna get even worse, because guess what happens then Powell's term officially ends meaning Donald Trump can get a stooge in there to lower the federal rates down to 1 percent like he wants which will doom the US economy while at the same time threatening more tarrifs because he wants to extort more countries into giving contracts to him and his billionaire buddies, the whole thing is a fucking racket and it's funny how it's big news in Europe while in the states not a single piece of their media is talking about it, not the left news, not the right news, even the so called independent news barely talks about it, all they talk about are culture war nonsense, the US is probably gonna hit a depression but unlike the last one that resulted in the idiots responsible getting kicked out of office this one will result in them becoming even more powerful and insulated from losing that power even more.

In short, the US is fucked and once they are out of the picture prices will probably start dropping in other countries that matter.
