Still just working on and playtesting my game. Still mostly busy upgrading everything to v3, so weaving in Unique Character Systems into the Item Menu and stuff, but I also added Save Transfer Bonuses, so if you transfer your save from the first game to the sequel, you can unlock some more goodies. Super happy with how it's going so far.

Skyrim VR, Superhot, and maybe something with the AIM I recently got. I'm still a VR noob, but I haven't felt this legit good about games since I was a kid in a big arcade for the first time. Even with my dinky old PSVR I'm having a blast!

That's because there are tons of new IP's for VR. I have about 20 solid VR games on PS5 for mine. Lots of original stuff nobody talks about because nobody plays VR. /v/ only ever talks about the porn. It's just annoying the headsets are so big. The quality of the VR2 is insane for how cheap it is. I finally got lenses because I hated using contact lenses just to play VR.

Hagga Basin is a fun playground to fuck around in doing story stuff and side quests. The Deep Desert has been refined to be more friendly for PvE overall, but if you're not interested in PvP then you won't touch half of the map. I'm not a fan of the Deep Desert, but I'm happy they're adding a free story update and a separate story DLC for more solo content.

Old enough to remember coke pre 90s, and the taste back then was so much better. I like Pepsi now, it's a bit less spicy and sweeter but back in the day there as no contest. Coke was fruitier and had a lightly caramel sweetness and Pepsi tasted just flat out cheap. Even Mexican Coke (made with GMOs) tastes inferior.

This also reminds me that there are now three generations that don't know what real Kentucky Fried Chicken tasted like. Shit was like crack. So good you'd shudder with your first bite.

It's a real shame what younger folks are missing out on.

Blasphemous 2. I have most of the movement skills/weapons except for one type and yeah, it is super linear. This game has no ability to sequence break. The combat is great, the art and ambiance is top tier, I just don't really see why so many people rate it so highly as a metroidvania. I could see rating it highly as an action platformer, but none of the metroidvania elements is really that good. Also it has a lot of bugs. I don't know if it is just the PS5 version I am playing on, but I have lost track of the number of times I had to close the game and reopen it because it bugged out and became unplayable. Worst part is that it seems to happen almost exclusively after a boss battle or one of those gated challenge rooms.

You can damage them, but they don't flinch, so you have to wait until they do one of their slow attacks, get in, do some damage, and back off when they start winding up another attack. You also take a TON of damage from everything.

Amazing concept, it really hooks you up - a plane flies through a space-time anomaly and ends up 15 minutes in the past, with almost all people on the flight disappearing and leaving behind their stuff, from money to prosthetics. They manage to land on a airport and the world is completely deserted, there's no wind, and the sound is kind of wrong.
However, two things fuck it up: one of the survivors is a blind girl with psychic powers, and another is Stephen KIng's self insert (the writer character) who somehow is able to guess everything right - he feels like Sherlock form that shitty BBC series.

Sleepy, stayed up all night playing the darkness 1 to make sure the copy I got for my birthday after work. Surprisingly more fun than expected. The combat is a bit slow especially since the game hasn't given me the demon arm yet. Probably should be soon though. Would benefit from a faster walking speed too. The little phone call dialogue Easter eggs that unlock concept art has been fun. Also the game disc comes with some comics inside of it. Like it has the darkness level 0, darkness volume 1 issue 1, volume 2 issue 1, etc. I wish more games came with comics and concept art inside of them. Especially now since they're charging 70 bucks n shit. Haven't gotten to the ww1 hell section yet but it reminds me of necrovision lost company. WW1 style hells are dope. Really hoping the upcoming divine comedy game and phantom blade zero are fun.

I played the sequel first since it was on steam. I like the combat of the darkness 2 better and the execution moves are AWESOME. Wish the art style went full comic book like look like ultimate spiderman or the ultimate spiderman section from shattered dimensions. It feels like it's in this weird inbetween. Also wish ww1 hell was in the game along with the asylum hell the game puts you through. Also also wish there were more darkling variants in 2 too. I love going through the amusement park level. There's also the news station building level which is dope too but that's locate behind the vendetta mode and you can't play as Jackie/Quad Wield in vendetta mode which is balls. At least they give me a katana but it ain't the same.

Alan Wake. Been noticing how strong the Max Payne vibes are, other than obvious Twin Peaks. Not surprising, because the same writer and devs, but still. Also, love the gunplay and grounded weapon selection - it's nice to spend the most of the game with a Colt Python and some generic pump-action, without them being outclassed by automatic weapons.

It just got way better with the ui revamp. you can actually distinguish between store items and their damage types and they went from 4 to 3 lanes, which made the map small and easier to traverse. The new heroes and other visual aid revamp made the combat much easier to understand as well. It is shaping up to be a real good game but yes you will need a good amount of hours to get good.

Red Dwarf audiobook read by Chris Barrie. I'm surprised, the story is a lot better than the show here, even if the humour is downplayed significantly. With the exception of the Cat, everyone is written like an actual person rather than a stereotypical joke like in the show. The Cat is portrayed as completely alien in personality too so I guess it explains why he feels one note even here.

Day 2 on meds. I sat up for 22 hours yesterday and still wasn't REALLY tired when I went to bed. It's like night and day from how I've been my whole life. Even as a kid I was always so tired that I would be taking naps whenever I could. I don't need naps so far on this. It's like I'm constantly in a milder, controllable version of when I'm hyperfocusing on something like a new Rimworld colony. Really glad there's something out there that can help me be functional without running myself ragged every day
