Only if you are one of those retards that to this day still cry over VR not being actual VR unless it's a full on matrix-like connection.

Not if you actually know what you're buying and why

How can it be a scam if I can play all of my games in it? some of the profiles are better than others regarding 6DOF controls. But they are constantly being updated.

It's toon expensive for people that ahve never tried it to invest, and dvelopers are cash grabbing and shovelwaring to death. Meta fucked up by making facebook mandatory for long enough to turn people off, and Sony dropped it again.

I just got into it, I can seer all the potential., but the development isn't here. VR Yakuza would be amazing.

The initial Oculus kickstarter was 100% a scam, because Facebook never fulfilled promises like a full Linux release.
All of the cheapo 3DoF headsets and Google cardboard slop jumping on the bandwagon were a scam.
WMR and Windows VR in general was a scam.
PSVR1 and PSVR2 are both scams.
Meta Horizons is a scam.
Metaverse was a scam.
Using Quest headsets without a PC is a scam.

Everything else is mostly not any more of a scam than standard PC gaming and ultimately less of a scam than consoles, use your own judgement.

He spends so much time talking about his kids on his podcast that I’m surprised anyone listens to him anymore

Honestly I've been watching him since he was on gamespot and it's mostly out of habit, but lately I've finally lost complete interest.
He rambles about his kids and tries to cover games he likes which ends up being fucking garbage liquid shit like literal Call of Duty.
I've also noticed lately he has a track record of covering games and hyping them up just for the public to get their hands on it and it being shit. His radar for good games is completely busted and he should just stick to playing whatever garbage he has 5 minutes for instead of trying to feel like he has a voice built for modern games.

>play all of my games in it
how do your eyes not melt out of their sockets? i get painful eye strain and sometimes pounding headache after like a 2 hour session.

It's not VR though, it's literally just a curved monitor screen mounted on your head.

He's alright but I can't forgive the laziness of not time stamping his 2-3 hour podcasts when nobody wants to hear him talk about random shit till he gets to the news topic they are interested in.

Building up tolerance to VR motion sickness happened pretty quickly for me, it's a hurdle you either overcome the first time or it's just not possible. Except my motion sickness symptoms were different from the average persons. I felt dizzy, like the whole world is spinning when taking off the HMD, which involved almost a night of being able to adapt to what was going on of taking quick breaks every time it happened, which is the more natural one I think. That's what I overcame and it's different to other peoples described sickness of where they can't get past it no matter what. Eye strain only happens when reading long text entries. But if I feel like it's happening I just take a short 5 minute break. That is something you can only mitigate.

I bought a quest 2 on black friday two years ago and I still use it regularly but only for the following things
>vr porn
>vr pinball
>vr driving/racing
it's very very rare I play any other type of vr games
