>masonic conspiracies
Where are you fuckers coming from and can't you stay in your containment board? This is the third time today I've seen some random vidya thread where someone's screeching about masonic this and that. Even your own argument makes no sense
>>Christianity portrayed as an after thought in secular society
>Townfolk are godless and worship idolatries
Almost everyone in Springfield goes to a Christian church every sunday. They're far more religious than most Americans and the whole thing built around the Rev. Lovejoy is a common supporting character. This is not to say that the characters are all devout, but the show has a church attendance level well beyond most contemporary Americans even in its early years . Not to mention the episodes about Krusty's Jewish heritage, being at odd with what his Rabbi father wanted for him , and other characters religion (including his daughter who is raised christian of some sort and Krusty freaks out just assuming she would have been raised Jewish) . The one with Krusty doing a wacky TV bar mitzvah and disappointing has father before doing it right etc. Religion is treated with reasonable seriousness in at least certain characters, but well within the humor of the storylines
>Flanders mocked for being religious and even more so the seasons progress
Flanders is mocked for being a walking trope-naming stereotype of being such a milquetoast weenie who drinks water in his favorite flavor, plain (even Rev Lovejoy is annoyed with 3 am calls about guilt over nonsense sins etc), but he's often shown to be legitimately generous and a good person, though he can be prideful and holier than thou, sometimes zealous or close minded, but he's mostly shown to compare with Homer's selfishness and boorishness, but both of them are generally good people
>Rich elites and cops
The cops are completely incompetent and the rich elite has his own goons and hounds.
and lets not forget the Stonecutters ep!
