I own both, Gamecube is best version.
If you're emulating, there's a mod that gives you the "faster sailing" upgrade from the Wii U, which is the only real upside to playing that version.
I recommend the mod very heavily.

yeah, because alttp was so gritty.
Also ww manages tone and contrast better than TP. Redeads in WW are more successful at being scary than anything that came after until maybe guardians in BotW or ganon hands in totk.
