Fullmetal is a weird thing to bring up. Do they rip off FMA in souls clones? I actually tried watching Brotherhood last year and it was so very overwritten, clumsily so. They really bash you over the head and then explain it twice. Anime really is for children. FMA has really flat themes that get restated quite literally constantly, but I guess that's still better than what's going on in Dark Souls (i.e. nothing).
