This dude's meme keeps making me want to rewatch Dexter but I remember for some reason there was an exact season where the show's quality went to shit so hard in the first episode it gave me PTSD. I remember a new female character that was le quirky and smart like dexter was introduced on it and I wasn't buying it at all. Felt to me like the writers were replaced by women in that season and they instantly added a shitty female character because women power or something. Dropped the show 2 episodes later.

Dexter is such a dumb show. It has an interesting idea going for it; the protagonist is a serial killer, which could be excellent material for a dark comedy, but they make it so that Dexter is only killing bad people to appeal to moralfags. It's like the TV show Lucifer, the protagonist being literally Satan, but he never really does anything evil, and when he does, it is only to "bad" people.
