Why Origins has more players than Odyssey? I thought Odyssey was the superior one, am I mistaken?

Origins is better.
Gameplay is slightly closer to classic AC. The story is linear and coherent. The map, despite being big, is easier to traverse and cities are close to each other. It has a proper ending.

Probably because Odyssey is a single player MMO. The world is great (except the caves), but the "game" is ass.

The real question is why those games sold more than Shadows. If you want to laugh check the steam thread for the claims that Assassins Creed Shadows being 2025's best seller in all of EU. The Box defending it to the death.
