Sometimes it's easy to forget just how many people flooded this site since the heyday of the original Dragon's Dogma that don't get just how important the original was to the people here. The idea that people were actually excited for a sequel to a game they'd never heard of made them anxious and confused. Those fans weren't allowed to just be disappointed that it didn't live up to its expectations because they committed the grievous sin of actually liking a video game.

Oh please, people latched onto it because it was Itsuno and wasn't Skyrim in 2011.
Blame the clowns hyping up the most 5/10 game ever made for 13 years for the overwhelmingly negative reception it had on /v/.

The actual DD fans weren't even fans of the shit that was implemented in the game, all the praise came from the cutting room floor. They were the first people to shit on DD2 for implementing absolutely none of it and taking 2 steps back from the first, already unfinished game.
