Obra Dinn is so simple in terms of art, gameplay, and story, but it's one of the best games I've ever played. The puzzle/mystery solving and sense of discovery is top tier.

Based. My favorite track too. It's so fucking memorable I keep listening to it plus the scene that triggers it was the best one.

Using the watch was also left click.
You could hold right click to focus on a target and see them in the drawings of the ship's passengers and crew.
The only other control really was tab to flip open the book (which would flip to a specific page if looking at something.)

Because you can only enter places in the past through corpses. The monkey was the only thing that fit through the window, so killing him while he's inside and then grabbing a piece of him and sending it to you was the only way you could enter that scene/room.

Clever of Dr. Evans. Obviously he knew all about how the watch worked. I wonder if he used it in his profession, before the Obra Dinn.

One of the negroes on board is listed as English even though the game typically relies on you identifying the nationality of characters by physical appearance. Wokeness got in the way of gameplay.

I wouldn't say the art is simple, given that the dev put a lot of effort into making sure it both looked good and didn't give your eyes cancer, and I don't know of any other game with a similar style. But yeah, overall the game is great.

The either don't play the game and think they already know what it's about from how it looks. Or some people legitimately think that anything that isn't an action game doesn't count as a game. I've literally seen people say Papers Please isn't a game.

Lucas could have tried have it so the killer was in the shadows or something and you can to actually figure out who did it. This was something Golden Idol was better with.

Is it just me or is the game a bit overrated? The start was hard to get through because you're forced to watch through two straight hours of dialogue while taking your best guesses with practically no information and not realizing that every 3 is a huge help. It is cool to see how everything played out even if it wasn't as interesting as it seemed once you reach the end. The coolest thing is the world beyond the Obra Dinn of monsters and magic because the ship itself is just the result of a single thing gone wrong. It doesn't help that like 1/3rd of the crew just ups and disappears literally. Most of the time, it wasn't difficult so much as it was just time consuming to recheck every scene and work through a truth table.

>i hope some big company offers his a bajillion dollars to make game
I don't.
A bajillion dollar budget means
-a massive team of people, too many cooks spoil the broth
-complete loss of creative control
-mandatory consultants telling you what to do, and forced on you by the publisher

More money isn't a good thing.
