You see, most "normal" N64 emulators, are just half emulators.
>but an emulator is an emulator, you can't say it's only half!
Well T.J "Henry" Anon, you see, the nintendo 64 is compromised of two main processing units, the main CPU, the R4300i, a well known and understood chip, and the RCP, a massive insane pile of functionality from hell that took SGI 6 months to calculate with their supercomputers.
This second chip was barely understood at all until recently, and it runs code, there are "few programs" programs for it in total.
So the idea of the half emulators is to skip emulating these programs entirely, and instead just recreate the programs for the PC.
You emulate the main CPU, and then the game code talks with YOUR code, thinking it is talking to the co-processor.
However, 20 fucking years trying this approach and we never got it to work 100% correctly because there are small variations, bugs, developers exploiting rendering quirks, direct memory access wankery and all that.
And a LOT of gay drama between HLE retard devs that means HLE will never work.
Then there's the work of angrylion, a random ass dude that actually emulates the RCP, based on an incomplete work by the MAME devs, and bought to perfection to people that ported it to vulkan (the so called parallel plugins).
So, if you want to actually emulate the N64, get something based on parallel, like simple64, or the retroarch plugins.
You will need a really powerful machine to pull it off tho, like a Ryzen 2200g

It's half emulator shit, and need heavy tweaking per game
