15 hours a day is madness. I get having the 15 hour straight or more session a few times a year, maybe when a game you're excited for comes out, but daily?? That's like some approaching deaths door shit, how are you not incredibly ill from consistently sitting in one place for that long. Especially if you're ignoring eating and sleeping to play more.

Most people play games because those things they want to do are not available to them. It's the cheapest option for entertainment and socialization, which for most people means it is the only option.

Internet addiction doesnt exist.
Non substance bound addiction is shit like gambling that will make you literally, objectively traceable high and so dependend you are willing to go out and suck dicks for money to pour into it.
Gaming and internet addiction are made up dependencies that are actually nothing else but escapist coping mechanisms for depression. The momen the depression goes away they are both easily treatable with bitch ass basic behaviour therapy to smoothen out the conditioned routines. Thats the big difference to a real addiction that after it was used as coping mechanism will fuck your ass unlubed in full force for the rest of your life and requires years of therapy, developing avoidance strategies and essentially other ways to project the endless craving on that is so deeply ingrained that even if neurological diseases essentially have stripped the last shred of personality from your consciousness your basic instinct to soothen your addiction will still work perfectly fine the moment it gets reactivated by triggers.

Kids with gaming or internet "addiction" become retarded because it simply melts their brains, stunts social skill growth and kills attention span. Thats it.
