Once you've figured out how to kill the worms in Volcanus the planet becomes a question of scale. Fulgora can be pretty hard if you're trying not to scrap 95% of your items.

There's ways to just use splitters without backing up items. Using just one splitter for each item is going to eventually back it up. Use 3 splitters, one to split the initial item, another to lead it further to the side with priority output, then one last splitter in line with the first filtered to an item that doesn't go on the belt to let excess of the item you're pulling back into the belt.
It's that easy.
Anonymous No.718880594
>>718874807
Green is the item you're pulling. Red is just to let the excess return to the belt so that nothing backs up.

Gleba single handedly giltered me despite the massive speed boost vulcanus gave me. I should go back and finish but FUCKING spoilage. I set up a couple looped belts to - in theory - always have bacteria working. But between random downtime cascading into all of it going tits up and I need to manually collect and add more bacteria, along with goddamn bugs spawning, needing repair packs if they dont outright break shit, plus piercing ammo or power set up but the power ARGH FUCK. And the cherry on top of the spoilage pile is the fact that glebacs science scales eith how FUCKING close it is to spoiling.
FUCK gleba

I genuinely don't understand how the playerbase is so shit. half of all players who made it to aquilo got filtered by the rudimentary planetary logistics? jesus christ.

You have foundries, you should be making more foundries with the first foundry you make and replacing all of your metal work (copper wires, iron gears and steel) with them because of the massive increase in assembling speed and natural productivity bonus they provide

The heat pipe gimmick perfectly stays its welcome as the main focus of aquilo is your ships. If not for heat pipes you would just use the same blueprints that you've been using the entire game, on aquilo, and be done with that part in a matter of minutes.

Anyone else feel like earlygame military science is flawed? It doesn't matter if I make every biter slider twice as difficult because you only need 150 military science packs for LASER TURRETS and you only need 350 to unlock tanks, which will always clear out any nest during the pre-space phase. This means you can completely forgo making a proper military science assembly until after purple+yellow; just a couple machines will get you laser turrets and tanks in the meantime.

you seem to have skimmed my comment but frankly you still surmount the actual difficulty within the first 5 hours and you never have problems again. time factor of 200 is no biggie if you've beaten the game at least once.

I for the most part agree. Only solution is to adjust the science rates, maybe a mod specifically to only adjust military science rates.
