Yes, because Castlevania at its best at least retains that feeling of being an ultimate amalgamation of myth, folklore, and classic horror monster icons. Shit like Bloodstained is far too up its own ass with trying to be its own thing that it gets bogged down with lore dumps, OC donut steel characters, and plot subversions that I guarantee nobody actually gives a shit about. I just want to be a cool vampire hunter doing vampire hunter things, not some over-designed anime character that desperately tries to convince you it's NOT Castlevania (while still profiting off Castelvania nostalgia).

bloodstaineds lore is also shit compared to castlevania, and its atmosphere is lacking in a lot of areas.
castlevania had decades to make the lore good, iga needs to get his finger out if he wants to make any headway on catching up to that and not just sitting decades behind forever
