>Raiden is now a brainwashed killing machine who is forced to kill innocent people, very dark part of the story
>Third part had you finally becoming "White Raiden", his MGS4 design. Raiden breaks free from the brainwashing and goes to get revenge on the asshole who fucked up his face

Fun fact about the original Rising
>The cutting tech was real, but this gameplay demo was total bullshit
>They targeted 60 fps, but it ran at more like 10 fps, it was just way too ambitious for the PS3 and 360
>Levels were supposed to be way bigger than anything previously seen, partly inspired by Assassin's Creed
>They wanted Raiden to have more "predator stealth", more aggressive with rooftop takedowns and such
>The ZanDatsu mechanic was much more complex, you had to cut with more precision and could even go non-lethal
>They really wanted it to be a game where you could cut through anything, but they didn't know how to design a game around this
>When Platinum got ahold of the game, they made it in just 9 months in their own engine

Easy to see why they dropped this script when the game got rebooted, the human raiden parts and the dark tone doesn't really fit with Platinum's stylish action
