I do play them, I hate them because having to roll repeatedly in games with bad odds in order to increase the power of a character I already have is infuriating to me, it makes my blood boil to even think about how much money I'd have to put into them in order to have all the characters I like maxed out.
Listen, I could stomach having to roll once to unlock a character, but needing to roll that same fucking character again in order to level up stats that can't be leveled up by another other means is outright predatory.
I will never be one of their whales, and I'm sorry that you are.

It's very simple. Can't be a paid shill if no actual money is exchanging hands. Dall-e doesn't let you gen in another res that isn't 1024x1024, so less than half of those gens are actually on dall-e. I like character design and hentai.
Even then, the vast majority of gacha characters suck. There's a lot of guys, mid girls, overdesigned girls, hags, ugly art styles, etc. The best ones tend to get the most fan art, so I know about them without playing the games.

I don't play them because rerolling is a pain. And there are very few games which are interesting. I absolutely don't care about non-original franchises.
