How many people are even realistically still on the switch 2? Probably not a whole lot

The jumping, wall riding, and rail grinding is neat, and the game feels good to play, but they should have stopped there. The open world and everything that came with it did not pan out. You can tell a lot of courses suffered for it both in track design and visual design the courses in 8 feel way more grand and fantastical.

What's worse is the forced intermission tracks in the cups and online. long straight roads with slight curves that if you use a triple or gold mushroom on you can get so far ahead that the race is practically over.

All this for an open world that is pretty empty and the only thing you can get out of exploring it is stickers...

I understand the idea of these intermission tracks were supposed to make you feel like you were on a road trip but I feel that if they really wanted that they should have scraped the openworld so they didn't have to make these intermission courses so flat and bland then just made road trip CUPS in-between the normal cups. As it stands not a single intermission course was as good as warios mountain

that said it's missing a lot of features that were present in MK8 and MK8D, especially tournaments

MKW is easily one of the best games of the year so far.

As a guy who bought the Switch 2 feeling excited for MK World, disappointing. It's shiny, new, and sorta looks better than 8 DX, but not by enough to justify an $80 price tag.
DK Bananza, on the other hand? 100% worth buying and playing. They should have put more time into building more layers/levels for the game in exchange for a higher RSVP price and I still would have gladly bought the game.

We have back to back Deltarune threads and it hasn't sold even half of world, you know that its only storyfags and theoryfags who fill up endless threads on /v/. Even Warcraft 3 only gets discussion around its story despite being a gameplay heavy series, a game with no story like mario kart was never going to get any discussion here.

Yeah good game 8 out of 10.
The issues are known but they aren't enough to keep me from filing it under "good" (not amazing) video game.
