I've only done like 4-5 hours into OSRS in general but I can't see how it would be fun
It seems more like it's a limit for people who can't just control themselves

Do you like grinding in OSRS? Then yes

if you're unemployed and would like to destroy your autistic-type issues around being efficient, then yes

I would love to get into RuneScape but I don't like the jack of all trades combat system, it's kinda gay.

i feel the exact opposite way. i can't imagine making an account and levelling up + getting gear and then having that account be eternally trapped into just tanking bosses
Anonymous No.718884265 >>718888486
The early game is fun. But it stops being fun once you start needing to get geared.

The OSRS general is cancer, there's no discussion just ritualposting and namefags discussing nothing

It's mostly a cynical scheme to double dip on addicts by convincing them to make a second account and/or pretend a Youtube ad is more interesting than it really is
>CAN I [Boring OSRS content] WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO TRADE? (The answer is yes, but it takes an unreasonable amount of time and Jagex lets these people bot)

allow me to play devil's avocado for a second here, most of these "can i do x but y" videos are blatant slop by retards for retards, but the moderately interesting ones are when it's a game of minimizing time investment while maximizing returns in interesting, obscure ways

It's objectively better to have to work your ass off for things like a glory or combat bracelet instead of just buying them off the GE 2 hours into a new account, but when I think about the possibility of basically bricking your account going dry on some dogshit that's essential for progression or getting a valuable dupe that's basically worthless because you can't turn it into millions of gp that you could leverage toward another goal I'd kill myself

i'm with you on that, i played uim and it was somewhat fun but that was definitely the worst aspect, if there was a single player rs that inflates droprates to make things reasonable and had a exp=(baseExp*skillLevel) to make maxing skills more reasonable i'd buy it and probably make it an annual playthrough game

That should be extremely easy to make yourself. Private server tools are everywhere

i do actually do that with pservers but they don't have the majority of the content and they don't work exactly like the real game, you can get a pretty authentic classic experience but that's it, anything else is still really broken/unfinished

It's a point-and-click game, if you're autistic enough you can destroy your wrist in record time
But you don't have to do that, most things that you can speed up by spam-clicking will also just work automatically (2 or 3 times slower). With some skills the absolute best EXP comes from doing autistic repetitive precise clicking several times per second but you do not at all have to do shit like that to progress normally. Every skill has several effective ways to train it and you never need to put in that much effort.
The most demanding part of the game is late/endgame high-level PVM which requires you to be focused and precise for up to around an hour if you're appropriately prepared, but even then you don't have to be locked in the whole time, raids are all broken up into multiple rooms and gauntlets like the Fight Caves/Inferno let you pause and log out if you need a break. No single boss fight takes that long, the most grueling actual bosses are no longer than around 15 minutes (with appropriate prep).

the colosseum boss fighter with that giant ass spearman fucked me up so hard. i know it's doable but i always fumble when he starts moving and attacking around hazards.

Better than the base game but is it really worth it to grind for 9 billion hours with snippets of ''good'' content in between? This applies for the base game as well.
