I would probably remake him from scratch around the wind theme and give him Wrecker's old crazy frog ult. Tornado turns into a quicker burst version of flame dash, beetles can have the stacking debuff that Mark has right now, and then his third can be a gust of sandy wind that slows in one direction for enemies and speeds up allies going the other way.

this game is almost fun but the guns sound like shit. everyone has pea shooters all bzzing and dinging you with no impact and later when there's 6v6 teamfights theres too much shit going on to pay attention to. very easy to over extend away from your team because the team silhouette is too bland and blends in with everything and also easy to abandon your teammates to die by having less mobility than them. the minimap is fucking retarded when there's lots of heroes in one spot too, it just has a seizure and everyones mini head is no where recognizable. needs work but its getting there. definitely more fun than when it first came out

While the ingame guides and the great community surrounding this game are great, I still find myself struggling to get better at deadlock.

Deadlock is just not like anything I've ever played before, it requires excellent reflexes, great map awareness, and flawless execution.

Hey guys? how do I get an invite to deadlock? I've been a long time player of dota, playing since the TI2 days when I mained antimage, I've been very interested in deadlock ever since dota 2 had its playerbase decrease since 2020, and I'm looking for a new game.

Deadlock looks really interesting, new and fresh unlike TF2, and I think I'd like to play this game because it is very interesting with new fresh references to old valve properties like portal and half-life 2, but I just can't find an invite.

If only someone could help someone like me, I'm sure there are plenty of other people like me who are very interested in deadlock but never had a chance to play deadlock because deadlock is still locked behind a key invite system, that would be great.

Technically it is, since your "real body" gets frozen in the main map and the enemy team can gather up and prepare your gang rape when you return.
Banishment technically isn't a stun, just like on Dota, but it has similar effects.

This game is actually such hot garbage /v/. it looks really nice, but the reality is that every match is a 30 minute long farmfest where one team is way better than the other team due to the aboslutely dogshit matchmaking algorithm.
The matchmaking is so bad that you will get players from the highest ranks in low ranked games, and it's not from a lack of players either.
The dev who worked on the mm literally used chat gpt 3 to give him an algorithm for team balance. don't waste your time. give it a year or two and maybe they'll get around to adding lootboxes too.

I'm scared to go back and play again after not playing for a year. One of my biggest problems with MOBAs as a genre is how often the game changes and how a hero you like can just get changed out of the blue and not be fun anymore. That's part of the reason why I stopped playing Dota. Too many kooky game-changing patches. The game and heroes morph into something that I didn't fall in love with in the first place.

So how do they rectify it? You have control the whole time (Even if your real body is frozen in the game) and you DO have agency, you want to escape so you dont take extra damage.

Rejuv now takes multiple punches to fully be "expended", each punch gives your team a revive token. the revive token is used when anyone on your team dies, they respawn exactly where they died with full health after 3 seconds. players cannot use multiple revive tokens, you can only use one token per rejuve. From what I can see, valve made these changes to rejuve to reduce the super hard swings that old rejuve had. A rejuve steal before the rework was a huge loss and usually lost you the game. also old rejuve gave your team the ability to just take a teamfight and lose without much of a penalty. The new rejuve allows you to fight much longer in a teamfight, but if you lose in the teamfight you will be punished like any other teamfight loss. Also rejuve steals aren't as game ending as they were, granting your team a flat damage buff and one extra revive is strong, but not overwhelming.

OH also creep buffs are just gone, rejuve does nothing with those anymore. So no more mega creeps for auto lane clears :(

Burst mobility is more valuable in a fight because you can gap close into melee range and then escape out of the enemy's sight. 12% stamina regen doesn't really help you not get shot 80 times when you zip in front of the entire enemy team. An extra dash and air time does.

I watch pro Dota so I know you're lying. The one saving grace Dota has in this regard is that lane harassment and creep manipulation are fun. In the laning phase, cores tread carefully and try to goad creep AI to move them where they want them and focus on just last hitting, while supports skulk around and try to whittle the enemy heroes to pressure them out of lane. This is fun, the creeps are actually strong and everyone's slow, so it's like a methodical dance to gain control of the lane. This falls apart after like 8 minutes, but then the game becomes more about ganking and teamfights, which are also fun.

What isn't fun is waiting for your carries to finish farming their next item because you want to optimize the timing. It's also not fun when you realize the enemy killed you simply because they right clicked more NPCs than you did, a thing I just don't value at all.

one thing you need to know is that your ultimate has infinite vertical range, never use it while you're on the ground because you'll fuck up the targeting and waste it.

Lash is somewhat hard to play but you can one trick him and figure it out. It takes about as long to learn him either way I think. You have to be able to fall on people to deal the most scaling damage so you have to figure out movement and terrain to use his abilities properly.

Shiv is gigatanky and has a good kit. Good movement and can execute people. I used to play shiv a lot on release. You just never die. They definitely nerfed him since then but I have no idea what they did apart from reducing his knife hitboxes so you actually need good aim to hit with them.
