Caved to who? Who asked for that? My guess is that they're lazy asses and keeping this up for all new heroes is not going to be fun for them.

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

damn, that's a name i haven't heard in a long time. it was funny watching the player base constantly dwindle down to literally 0

oh, and valve held a $1,000,000 artifact tournament and cancelled it at the last minute after some people traveled to the venue and didn't even reimburse them

they removed it because all the voice lines are like 10 seconds long and you're only in his ult for 3 seconds at most

Doorman used to have long and specific voicelines for when he trapped you in his ult.

HOWEVER

On release his ult lasted a much shorter amount of time, so absolutely no player could stay there long enough to hear even half of one of the voicelines, so instead he just does generic quick lines instead.

tl;dr they changed how long you would be listening to his lines so they had to shorten them

Meanwhile Genshin impact, they mock you for failing at the basic cooking game. Valve’s game is dead on arrival if they are trying to please the audience.

Is there some way to have him still say the lines? Maybe a rare chance upon first meeting kinda like how league/dota champs do it?
