with that and being able to fly across the map with the shield, I can't go back to Doom 2016 or Eternal because you move so slow in comparison to Dark Ages

id should license out the engine some more. It's a good engine and Unreal Engine needs competition.

Actually Carmack wanted to release Id Tech 5's source code but Zenimax for some reason didn't want it. And now Id Tech 5 and 6 are rotting away

if they added an arena shooter with it it would have survived, but ultimately it's a solo game, and they die pretty quickly once everyone who bought the game finishes it
