What is there to argue about why Bamham combat is trash that hasn't been said a million times already, you dense fuck.
It's mechanically banal. An attack, a counter, a stun, bat-jump, and a list of special moves when you get a combo going. That's it. Even the devs knew that there's fuck all that can be done to it on a fundamental level which is why they kept adding quick use gadgets, and enemies that require a specific move to overcome them(shield stun, stun first to beatdown, claw to discharge). All of which still adds fuck all unless you're the type of easily illuded shithead that claim weapon swap spasms, shields, weakpoints, ghost thing that requires the taser alt fire, in nu-Doom revolutionized FPS.
Auto targeting and player gravitation is so aggressive the average fight has you just zipping from one end to the other with no effort. It's the beat em up equivalent of playing a shooter with an aimbot. Even when the auto targeting focuses on the wrong enemy, at worst you lose a little health from dudes with stun batons, in most case you just lose your combo, which means fucking nothing except for a few challenges since you can build up relatively fast anyways.
By all means, claim it is fun all you want, it will never change that the bamham games are the most basic bitch action games ever made. They are not great beat-em-ups. Fucking double dragon on the NES asks more from the player than these games ever will.
