They announced that Darkspear Trolls would be getting new hair cosmetic options based on the Amani, which doesn't rule out Amani as an Allied Race but seems to make it less likely. Maybe for Alliance? But that'd imply a second Allied Race for the Horde and that is much more work than Blizzard are willing to do anymore. I'd be shocked if we ever see a non-neutral Allied Race again.

Blizzard originally stated that it was going to be a much smaller area, and Alliance would be killed on sight everywhere else (they specifically stated that). Alliance players thought this was stupid, the devs have spent the past few expansions essentially pushing the faction conflict under the carpet, and with the recent Stromgarde questline it looked like it was gone forever. So then Blizzard says a horde capital is the new expansion hub and Alliance is only allowed to exist in a small portion of it and would be executed everywhere else. Faction conflict for me, not for thee.
