If you can just play online/solo and break his head once, you can get all required materials to craft both weapons and armor even if you fail the quest. Also the best weapon is the one you're the mos comfortable with, just keep that shit tenderized, and if using s light weapon use the clutch claw boost gem, for 1 hit tendies.
Also wallbangs only work when he is standing on all 4s
Just watch some guides bro, they have him figured out. And you are likely not using all tools available, like double binders, cannons, ballista, dragonator
Baiting his fire cone is also free damage and ez tenderizing

Don't even bother hitting the legs just tenderize the chest and focus on it. Use the binders and roaming ballista (bring heavy artillery 2, it guarantees a topple if you hit his tenderized chest on its own. if you missed a few shots just hit him with 1 or 2 normal ballistas that will get you the topple) to hit and break the head.

I beat this yesterday with my friend. We called in 2 chinese people and beat him after 3-4 tries. After that I uninstalled the game immedieately, now we are playing Rise (thank fucking God for that).

MHWI is good until Furious Rajang then it falls of a steep fucking cliff with the Alatreon battle and Fatalis. Genuinely ruined the fun of the game for me. Alatreon especially with the elemental check.

Had to change my review from positive to negative. Fuck those developers. No surprise that Wilds is a shitfest too if the same people made that

First of all, the fatalis fight is NOT made for hammer. I dont think you can even KO him. And to get past the alatreon check you should have kjarr or safi jiva the red dragon weapons (which are unfun to fucking grind) AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE GUIDING LANDS?

Me and my friend were genuienly confused about that place, it fucking sucks donkey penis you can just do optional or investigations instead. Worst idea of an endgame ever conceived by human kind

It is quite simple. You two were inefficient. Most likely evading poorly, losing out on DPS time. Did you break horns to maintain his fire form as often as you could? Did you clutch claw and down him when flying when you had the chance?
If you say you did all this then it simply comes down to a skill issue.

Meh, not fun, simple as that. Especially when you try for a whole week and do all the tips you find online and it doesn't work. Some MR 999 got past the check for us in the end. Also, the game sucks at giving you decorations, I barely had shit all.

Also a sidenote, I didn't have honey at the end (barely) and I didn't have any money because I kept doing the Alatreon mission and put myself into an economic crisis. Just unfun overall. Still I got 600 hours out of the game, but the end warranted a negative review and I am sort of happy to see that they fucked up Wilds so much, they deserve the downfall

Meh, Alatreon filtered us but Fatalis we called people in immediately because we wanted to move on to Rise. So Fatalis didn't filter us because we wanted to be done with the game so we did dirty tactics like the smoke bomb thing. Fuck Alatreon though

You don't need them, first time I killed him I just used a frostfang barioth weapon and slotted ice damage decos. Learn his attacks and you get plenty of openings to hit him.
Using safi + kulve just lets you shit on him with zero effort. If you have one guy in your group with that setup he can solo the elemental check.
