It has the same approach of Odyssey and Breath of the Wild, small little tasks and things to find everywhere. If you destroy everything looking for stuff, it can get pretty boring. But following the story path and doing the challenge areas along the way makes for a fun 15-20 hour campaign.

If you find it a chore I recommend just focusing on the story. Doing the challenge areas is fun but anything more than that like digging everywhere looking for bananas gets boring. I usually 100% games like this but I had my fill just doing the story and getting most of the challenge areas. Don't force yourself to do something boring.

Where does 3D DK go from here? Terrain destruction was a fun and unique mechanic for a platformer, but I wouldn't want to see it return again. But what is it from Nintendo's perspective. This is the same question people have for Zelda. Does Nintendo have the balls to ditch climbing almost everything and having complete freedom in 3D Zelda?
