I've played through Skyrim with this mod installed several times and it used to be so, so, soooo much worse that it's not even funny. The most insane cringeworthy shit, the voice actress doing it also got better as time went on. I still find it quite insufferable narrative-wise, but still better than vanilla Serana and her follower kit is one of the best, has very good reactivity as well which enforces immersion, shame that so much of the dialogue sucks ass.

I find it insane that the guy making it is getting $2k a month for it and his other cringe NOT-2B OC donut steel character doe

Serana still have a few references in the game's data as a "romantic partner" so the writers had plans for a proper marriage event (or at least a romantic moment) with her.

Serana Dialogue Add-On is technically the best one even if the writing isn't that great, unless you are a woman (then your best choice is Kaidan).
If you don't mind smaller mods with far less content, you can try your luck with stuff like Song of Green or Heart of Ice (no crazy power levels or wacky backstories), or Sa'chil if you are a furry.
If you really hate donut steels and just want to marry vanilla characters, your only option is AI shit like Anbeegod's collection (part of this collection, updates included, is Patreon-exclusive).

Every time I think of reinstalling Skyrim I remember that I either have to install 1000 mods one by one in a very specific order and hope none of the authors trooned out and deleted their shit, or use some modpack that is 20 terabytes and only has 2 or 3 mods that I actually want.
