The future of the series looks grim.

Learning the moves is fun. Just play angel slayer and read the move list. Accessing training mode is dumb in 1 though. There should be an option from the menu but you have to hit - on a loading screen and the dummy is just one Affinity.

I went in thinking Viola was gonna be insufferable but honestly she wasn't that bad at all despite her ugly design. Bayo 3 just had a bad aesthetic all around, fucking daily dose main color scheme, ugly gray and brown stages, alternate universe Bayo designs were way too cluttered and overdesigned. I didn't like Bayo 2 as a game but at least visually it was nice and pleasant to look at.
Other than that, we need more games where the movements are extremely fluid and diverse.
I don't give a shit about balance & skills, so long as it looks good and is fun to play.
1 is tightly designed and rewards high skill but is bogged down by the gimmick sections, and the instadeath QTEs annoy first-timers.
2 has less to offer in staying power and boils down to witch time spam at all skill levels, but the gimmicks are shorter and more polished and the QTEs are easy, so it's a better experience for people who just coast through once and never pick it up again.
The demon slave stuff killed my interest in 3 so I never played it.
I can't believe Luca got to deflower a virgin Bayonetta (the Cereza version) just because she saved herself for when he unintentionally groomed her past Cereza self and is the reincarnation of her first teenage love.

Pretty expected when you think about it, isn't it? DMC is about heroism, love and friendship, Bayonetta is about the same too.

Awful design and awful gameplay. They got swordplay right in Bayo 1 with shuraba. Viola's controls are a mess and had to be patched to even be playable for the average player.

Ah, that innuendo? That's just posing. Rodin would never do anything untoward to her, or to humans in general, that'd be fully OOC for him.

You can thank the director for that. What a massive hack and I don't know how but he just feels like he's woke af when I saw him in the interview with kamiya.
Worse still, he quit PG and followed kamiya into capcom.
