Of course you can be a fan of something you've only watched and not participated in. That's most media. For videogames it just means you don't get to talk about the gameplay and you're less qualified to hold certain conversations. Don't bark at me about Fromsoft games when you watched Bimbo Bitch #561 do a retard build and sucked ass and blamed the game. We can talk lore and music though.
