Devs have stated they intended to release 1.7 this month but stopped after someone pointed out that Halloween was two months away. They decided to not release and instead focus on a 2.0 release that, supposedly, is going to come mid-late October.

Also one dev teased the possibility of a sequel, stating, "multiple eyes were looking at Earth when the visitor revealed itself to Sam." So we might see the game from a completely different location, in the same timeline.

I love this game, the art, the design, the music. total package for me and goty. theres way too little cosmic horror around, besides outer wilds and this nothing really catches the gist of it.

True. I was in awe when you finally open the roof, super cool endings. It's rare for a game to completely embrace the concept instead of just being inspired by it in some aspects.

I like the experience™ but actually playing it is a snoozefest since it's just a shitty RPGmaker game with difficulty that nosedives once you get a full party (look up how to not lose the kid and bum or get lucky and get the goths)

Guess the gameplay's not as bad as Artis which is also a nice story (in a very different way) but you never figure out what the fuck the dev wanted the combat to be because you get insanely overleveled if you do one optional dungeon.

I'd like an update where we can fight the wall mouth and not have to lose an arm or a rat child. Also would like some extra endings. Here are some ideas. Perfect ritual: Assimilation. In this ending you get to fight the visitor (Under Stay and Help, he'll mention there is a way to stop the transformations, and that is to destroy him, but he doesn't want to die.) If you lose or run away. The visitor assimilates the entire planet. Everything gets fucked hard. Then Perfect Ritual: Back to Normal. You defeat the Visitor. He violently explodes. Everything returns to normal. However those who had lost their minds will still remain insane. Also characters like Morton and the roaches will return to normal. It's sort of bittersweet. Also sybil disappears again in this ending.

i really want to see them do something with phillippe if you go through the dialogue prompt where sam believes he's being brainwashed by the spore mother
not even necessarily as like an active party member, but just somewhere in your apartment as a companion who chimes in on certain points in your adventure
feel like more could be done with him in an amusing way
