Fixed camera angles have their perks but the positives hardly ever outweigh the negatives.
Compare RE1make with RE2make, you can argue that the first title feels more claustrophobic but you don't lose a lot by having an over the shoulder camera with claustrophobic spaces. What you do lose is more engaging gameplay when engaging with enemies: in RE1make you just point your gun and shoot, in RE2make you actually need to aim properly which adds to the tension a lot more than muh fixed camera angles while also having more fun gameplay.
Fixed camera angles are a relic of a bygone era for a good reason, no matter what fossils such as yourself like to claim.
