Back then consoles has specialized hardware and like >90% of games were console exclusive.

Now they're just locked down x86 PCs with, literally, less than 5 relevant exclusives.

Also we're in the squeeze part of late-stage capitalism, people are spending all their money on subscription fees to exist on a lord's land, food, insurance, cars and related fees, etc.

now they are transitioning into luxury goods
nintendo, playstation and xbox all want to become the "apple of gaming", because fleecing a handful of whales is more profitable than selling for dirt cheap to millions of poorfags.

I told you guys many times: "Nintendo will be the gaming industry's worst nightmare if it takes the lead in sales and market share."

At least that's legal for them

It's not only illegal for me to commit suicide, it's illegal for me to feed myself to wild animals because it violates several different laws

I live in gay ass authoritarian capitalism where EVERYTHING is illegal unless you spend money

Even existence itself is illegal without spending money, being homeless is illegal and since 100% of all land is owned anywhere you go you're trespassing unless you pay someone a subscription fee to exist

Because there is no more competition. Each manufacturer sits in their niche and is contempt staying there. In the 90s and early 2000s they were at eachothers throats, console wars was a real thing and they were fighting over every single % of marketshare.

Theoretically nothing prevents Sony from slashing the price of the PS5 to $399, I doubt it would even result in a loss and even if it did with subscriptions and digital sales they are still making a profit on Day 1. But why would they? It's not like you're gonna buy a Series X and deny them a sale.

The home console market should have ended after the 90s, but because of the PS2 having a DVD player it persisted, roping in normalfags by the truckload, which inspired investors to keep pumping a doomed paradigm, because they didn't know that normalfags would only buy yearly Madden and COD.
Selling consoles at a loss and covering your ass with game sales is less effective when there are no games being sold and even subscription service payment plans eventually aren't enough to keep the poorfags happy when you need to convince people that your next device is worth buying over whatever the last device was. Both the PS4 and PS5 were essentially just budget PCs as well, rather than leveraging specific chips to get a lot of performance for much cheaper prices and games nowadays are unoptimized shit, so they outright look worse than the gen before.

Video games are going to way of cable television.
Just a few years before cable television went away instead of making it much cheaper they did the opposite charging insane prices to take advantage of their customer base: baby boomers with too much money. My mom still has cable TV with hundreds of channels and the price is $129 a month. I tell her its a scam and she doesn't care because she has over $9,000 passive income per month and pays zero taxes.

the purpose of suicide laws is so that the courts have a recourse towards seizing and auctioning off your assets in the event you have will or living relatives to inherit them. Without that, your assets would be left in legal limbo and would be impossible to deal with and so would be left to rot.

not just the government, there are hundreds of charities that do the same thing. every city in the country has some church group that provides hostels and flophouses to transients.

Economically speaking where do we go from here?
I kinda feel like the whole world is going trough a recession and everything is becoming increasingly more expensive to the point we might truly not own anything.

>the government will give you a place to stay

No, they won't.

They might but that's entirely different than will.

Shelters also aren't housing, they're basically no better than a jail, sleeping in a giant open room full of bunk-beds.

Laws that force people to go to "shelters" are ironically an example of a law that makes being homeless illegal, despite you trying to make it sound like the opposite

You're also still homeless, people in shelters, motels, temporarily staying with family/friends, living in a vehicle, are all homeless.

Anti-homeless laws are comprised of countless laws that add up to, at least street/forest homelessness, effectively being illegal

Whether that be no sleeping in public, no sleeping in your car, loitering laws, not being allowed to build your own shelter, not being allowed to light fires, not being allowed to hunt or grow your own food but also stealing food being illegal, etc. etc. etc.

sounds an awful lot like it's not illegal.

>even if they say they do that doesn't mean they actually will
you're operating on like a dozen levels of assumptions, none of which you've actually backed up in any way. By the way, do you know what the communists did to the homeless? they enslaved them. put them in Siberian labour camps and worked them until they died of exposure. then threw their corpses in mass graves to make room for the next batch.

>do you know what the communists did to the homeless? they enslaved them

This is actually what capitalism does in 2025

1) They make up infinite bullshit laws like no panhandling or sleeping outside

2) When they break one of them and obviously can't pay the fine or show up to court, they put an arrest warrant out for them

3) Once they're in jail/prison, slavery is legally allowed according to the 13th amendment

So capitalists, in 2025 USA right now, are actually criminalizing homeless, locking them up, and LITERALLY enslaving them.

Jesus was a homeless vagrant who lived on alms.

I don't say this to disparage Jesus, but it's just a matter of fact.

The hatred of the homeless and poor is disgusting in the USA. These modern day MAGA Christians would want Jesus jailed or involuntarily committed and forcibly drugged for being homeless, because they cheer for laws that do that.

though... I wish I built a desktop around the time of the PS5 release. And it would have been before all the gay inflation hit. My computer is a 2019 Thinkpad lmao

I agree with you. The system is so incredibly unfair. And to top it off they're criminalising being poor even more. As if it's not bad enough being homeless. It's another fuck you from the system. Most people are pampered, and there's like another 50 million people that shit talk the homeless that are being supported by their parents. The only difference between them and the homeless is that they don't have family to support them. They'd be in the same situation if they weren't given a free ride. But they just want to attack the homeless.
