I'll bite, I didn't buy a Switch, but I did buy a Switch 2. As a result I experienced the best "launch lineup" of any console generation, due to the backwards compatibility, due to looking forward to the couple Switch 2 games I hadn't played either. Cyberpunk 2077 is a launch title, it's the best physical version of that game, it runs great, it's the entire game + expansion on the cartridge. If you like having your games like that, it's a no brainer. DK Bananza is a very innovative game that absolutely feels next gen. The entire game worlds are destructible, and your map tracks everything you do to the gameworld, every tunnel you make, rock you smash, it's there on your map. Mario Kart World is easily the best game in that series, it's not worth $80, but it comes bundle with the Switch 2 for $50 cost, and that's a good deal for a game that you will come back to countless times. There's also the two Zelda games that were on Switch, they have upgrades and rereleases for Switch 2, and they're still great games, now they look and run even better too.
Switch 2 is the pinnocle of Nintendo design. They've gone from the Famicom that had controller that docked to the side of the console, and the game cartridges you put into the console, to the Switch where the controllers still do that, and the console itself goes into the dock like it itself is a cartridge. This thing is a game console for the TV, and a handheld for taking with you on the go. Try it out and you will experience Nintendo Magic.
