I miss Justin, bros. I really don't think what he did was that bad when you compare it to actual pedophiles running the country. He could be cringe at times, but the authenticity of it all gave his art a genuine sincerity.

There were definitely red flags during season 1, plenty of really stupid shit like the finale episode and the interdimensional tv episode. The problem is a lack of self-awareness among of writers and the fanbase who weren't calling out the cringe early enough. Instead they just let it fester until it exploded with shit like pickle rick and the szechuan sauce shit.

Rick and Morty was mildly enjoyable for about one and a half seasons. I still think some of the episodes are extremely dumb fun, though very flawed. It fell off a cliff once season 2 ended and I haven't bothered with it since.
