I know this sentiment is picking up steam lately but I have felt like that from the onset.
It's just Zelda-themed Ubislop, it sucks.
Each game sold more than the rest of the franchise combined.
This means old Zelda is dead and gaming lost one of the forefathers, something that was unique and interesting, in favor of this "new direction" (becoming just like everything else on the market in this genre today).
Did they do it well? Sure. They're very well-made open-world slop.
But they're open-world slop just the same.
